On Friday last, 18 September, Culture Night was celebrated in Castlepollard. There were a number of events held, with events taking place in the Parish Centre, St Michael’s Church of Ireland and in the Castle Varagh Hotel.Among those who exhibited in the Parish Centre were local artists Violetta Wojciechowska, Gráinne Conlon, Kenneth McDermott, Ros Forlenza as well as Eco Artist Catriona Higgins.There was poetry, storytelling and music by Louise Ryan, Jimmy O’Connell, Seamus McGoldrick, Don Mortell and Isaac Hussain.The Cultural Night activities attracted a very good crowd and the events were enjoyed by all those in attendance.
