No decision has been taken on the opening of a new social welfare branch office in Castlepollard, according to Minister Heather Humphreys.

CLD are calling on local TDs and councillors to join them in a campaign to have the social welfare office in Castlepollard reopened.

The dole office in Castlepollard will operate out of the Westmeath County Council Building two days per week.

The DEASP has confirmed that the social welfare branch office in Castlepollard is closing from this evening.
