Purpose of Club / Organisation:- The Bowls club are providing people in the locality with the opportunity
to play bowls 2 nights a week over the winter months.
We play on Monday and Wednesdays nights from 8pm to 10pm (September/May) in the Parish Centre on Church street, Castlepollard.

We recently held our agm and John Kennedy is our chairman, Martin Fagan is vice chairman, Niall Byrne is secretary and Benny Rooney treasurer.

Open for new members:- We will be holding an open night shortly, where people can come along on a designated night they will be shown how the game is played and have a cup of tea and a chat.

Club / Organisation Name:- CASTLEPOLLARD CELTIC FC

Established:- 2004

Purpose of Club / Organisation:- To provide for playing Soccer at schoolboy/girl level from ubder 7 up to and including under 16, this will include facilities, coaching and administration. The club currently fields 13 teams most of which play on a weekly basis during the season which is from September to May.

Club / Organisation Name:- M4 WOMEN'S GROUP

Established:- November 2007

Purpose of Club / Organisation:- M4 Women is an expanding network of women in the M4 region (North Westmeath stretching towards Longford, Cavan, and Meath). It is a celebration of the women who make up our members and the speakers who join us to share their skills and experience. It is a place to meet and to make friends. It is run on a voluntary basis by and for the women of our area, and it is shaped by the interests and experience of our members.

Open for new members:- Yes - If you are interested in being a member of your local women's group - M4Women - come along and join in! We meet on alternate Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Hotel Castlepollard. New members are welcome at any time. Membership costs €20.00 and the fee is €5.00 per meeting for members and €7.00 for non-members. Come along and bring a friend!

Club / Organisation Name:- MURRAYS GOLF SOCIETY

Established:- 1988

Purpose of Club / Organisation:- The primary purpose of Murrays Golf Society is to promote the game of golf among its members.
The society plays between April and October and typically has between 5 and 7 outings per year. The society plays in Golf clubs within about 1.5 / 2 hours drive from Castlepollard. Some of the clubs we have previously played include Delvin, Mullingar, Tullamore, Rathcore, Portumna, Headfort, New Forest among many others over the years.

Typically the society has 8 prizes per outing, winner for each category (3) 6th Place, 5th Place, best Back Nine, Best Front Nine and Overall winner. Guests are also welcome on our outing and depending on the numbers determines if their is also a Guest prize or not.
